You are the Author of the Love story
In a world that longs to be Your Lover
Caught in the illusion of separation
Bittered by distance and inadequacy
Unreachable souls entangled in Your hair and eyelashes
Cannot escape You...
Pretend to want to
Thrashing for freedom while clinging tight to You
Calling out Your name
We ache
And You wait
Minds blurred 
Hollowed hearts
You are the Phantom 
Our hands passing through You as we reach for You
Illusion 
Do we not see that You are Light?
Shining all over our skin
Lighting our hair and eyes
Illuminating us... even from within?
Oh Blessed Cherub
How the spirit delights in You
How our carbon atoms jump in time
To the flutter of Your wings
Let us be forever in this Holy Place
Next to You
Pretending not to Know You
While You whisper sensual innuendo
Into our ravenous souls
Wrapped in Your Beloved arms
Caressed mercilessly by Your unyielding hands
We are healed
And saved
And returned to Wholeness
