Beloved,

How can I shine a Light like Yours

With this tiny flame that is mine?

How can I show Your face 

Through this fragmented and tarnished mirror?

You whisper things to my soul

That I am unequipped to share

And then fill me with desire to sing them aloud 

Like a sparrow should sing the song of a Nightengale

All I can do is live them

I Love You... what more shall I do with that?

When I open my mouth to sing

And Your words catch in my throat

And cling to my tongue 

Willingly

For I long to hold everything that I have of You within me

Like a sacred treasure

While this reckless Love for You 

Asks me to fling it all into the wind

And abandon everything 

To run away with You

Oh Beloved...  never stop

Forever stir me

Forever let this madness for You torment my crazy soul

I am lost

I am found

What insane Bliss is this

That takes me further and further

Into You 

Shouldn’t I disappear?

Instead of being lit

Exalted in the Light of the God that You are
