Deliver us from evil

By the Imaginary One
Forked tongue corrupter of Truth
Faceless and without eyes
Most unholy seeker of souls
In whom we so easily believe
With whom we direct our lives

Though not so in Love
Shame be upon us
And our starving souls

Begging to be fed
Mouths full of empty promises
And nameless acts
For there was only ever You
Of course we knew!
And still You come for us
Offering delicacies
Which we snatch up and horde away
And leave to rot in cold, dark places
While complaining to You of our hunger.
Oh Beloved One
You give us everything
Why do we not see Who You are?
Heaven help us
Before this sleep becomes certain death
